Govind Singh Rathore first developed the idea for a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those members of Rajasthani society most in need more than 2 years ago. With the support of friends and family in India and the collaboration of US based friends Niina and Jen, the Sambhali Trust was founded on 16/1/2007 with Govind, Virendra Singh Chouhan, Mukta Kanwar, Badan Kanwar and Rashmi as the 5 trustees of the Sambhali Trust “non Profit”, registered under the number 2007000380.
After Sambhali Trust was formed, it joined hands in making a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with two Non Profit Organizations based in USA-Sambhali International, based in Arizona, USA, and Sambhali International (USA) Incorporated, based in Virginia, USA. Govind Singh Rathore
Living and working in Jodhpur, he has been working in his own family business for many years at Durag Niwas Guest House, also doing his own art and craft tours through Rajasthan called RAJPUT Cultural adventures in Rajasthan.

Mukta Kanwar
Originally from Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh, Mukta completed her education before moving to Jodhpur after her marriage to Govind in 2003, now in charge of Durag Niwas Guest House, Mukta also helps a lot in art and craft, dance lessons of the project.

Badan Kanwar, Govind’s Mother, also known as Mumy, she is house mother of the project.

Virendra Singh Chouhan
Presently working at Hotel Ajit Bhawan, Jodhpur as a Senior Front Officer and Managing Director of RAJPUT Cultural adventures in Rajasthan. He has completed his diploma in tourism from the Hotel Management Institute, Jodhpur, affiliated with the National Council of hotel management Delhi. Now he is involved as accountant for the Sambhali project.

Rashmi Rathore
Rashmi is Nutritionist by profession and working in an N.G.O. called the Veerni Project at Jodhpur. She has worked in the field of HIV/AIDS education and is now involved in the Sambhali project as a trustee.
