Art of Living

We had a marvelous time in the Setrawa project, where we have arranged an "Art of Living"-course for 5 days for the whole village. The people were taught all kinds of yoga, meditation etc. The teacher lived in the project building.

We were helped very much by our project teachers and our land lord Mr. Chandarveer, he is a big help to us in the village. The people co-operated a lot in the program. The yoga teacher is a student of Shri Shri Ravi Shankara and was welcomed by the people with an open heart, he was invited for meals everyday.


Some guests, related to the "Art of Living"-program, Ms. Casey and me went to the program twice in 5 days, the day of beginning and the last day of ending. People had tears in their eyes when the yoga teacher, Mr. Gajanand Ji, was leaving. Our chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Umaid Singh Rathore, fighting this year for a member of parliament from Shergarh Tehsil. His name was suggested by Mr. Chandarveer Singh, the land lord from our project building.

A different blissful experience for the village, it rained a lot while we had the camp in Setrawa village, so people were taking the camp as blessing.

Welcoming ceremony: we wash the guests' feet on their arrival at the main door, we also give them garlands, and pray them before they enter our premisis.  Participants paid respect to all the guests and also me.   All the teachers and guests were welcomed with garlands.

Cancer patient

Gajanand Ji was also invited to visit a cancer patient to bless the person leaving every one behind for this life.

Some guests (related to the "Art of Living"-program) came to bless a cancer patient in Setrawa village, the Doctors have sent her back home, beautiful mother of 3 little girls, 25 years of age. When we went to see her at her home on somebodys request and one of the teachers of "Art of Living" blessed her, her husband and all started to have tears when the blessing ceremony started. I don't know if I will be able to see her when I return in 5 days. May God bless her!
